STOVE ESPRESSO MAKER
For those looking for a strong cup of coffee
The Moka brews rich, heavy-bodied coffee, versatile and full of flavors. It can be enjoyed on its own, or add hot water for an Americano or steamed milk for a Cappuccino.
The Moka
Invention
It was invented by Italian engineer
Alfonso Bialetti in 1933.
Brew time
7 min.
Things you need
Good Coffee, Scale, Grinder, Cloth
Fill the bottom chamber with hot water. Using hot water in a Moka pot avoids giving the coffee a metallic taste.
Use a burr grinder for a grind that is finer than drip, but a little more coarse than an espresso grind.
Place the Moka onto the stove and turn on the heat, keep the lid down during brewing. The coffee should slowly start to flow to the top chamber.
Pour and enjoy!!!
When the coffee has finished brewing and is in the top chamber, turn off the heat.
Secure/Twist the top and bottom chambers together until a tight seal is made. Ensuring the two chambers are fully secured.
Use a 1:7 ratio (for every gram of coffee add 7 ml of water). Adjust as desired.
